Tech Data Advanced Solutions' channel development partner programme has announced the first winners of its Cisco Momentum ACES Awards. The Momentum programme was created to help elite partners in their ambitions to accelerate business transformation, which is something that we pride ourselves on at Forfusion. The ACES Awards are the absolute pinnacle of this, recognising the partners' commitment to growth and innovation – overall and in each of Cisco’s technology focus areas.

The winners were selected by a panel of senior personnel from both Tech Data and Cisco.  Key influencing factors included effort and investment made in developing Cisco business over the past year and alignment with the core principles for Momentum partners: innovation, collaboration, and execution.

Forfusion’s ambition to be at the leading edge driving the adoption of Intent-Based Networks and their associated solutions was key to winning the award, Ian continued:

“We already had a very good understanding of software-defined fabrics from our work with Cisco ACI in the data centre space, so the shift to SD-Access and DNA Center was reasonably straightforward. What’s been really pleasing is how we’ve managed to work with our customers and take them on the journey with us, they absolutely understand the need for a new approach to the network and the value of end-to-end application assurance and analytics.”

Ian recently returned from an Innovation Tour arranged for ACES winners. The tour was hosted at Cisco’s headquarters in San Jose and featured briefings with top Cisco executives, who shared insights and plans for the year ahead. Commenting on the tour, Ian said: 

“One of the most interesting aspects of the tour was the intimacy and informality of the sessions with senior Cisco leaders. We could ditch the PowerPoint and focus more on what was on our minds as Cisco partners. The speakers embraced this and provided a forum that very few partners will get to experience. Having the opportunity to visit with one of Cisco’s major recent acquisitions - App Dynamics, was also a great experience. To hear first-hand how Cisco integrates these companies, and the care taken to preserve the ethos and foundations of what made these organisations so successful in the first place, should be equally reassuring for both partners and customers.”
