Jorge Aguilera

My IT industry experience began while I was finishing my studies at university. I started an apprenticeship programme where I had the opportunity to meet my mentor and one of the most influential people in my professional career. In the early days, I was involved in technical projects related to Networking and Security. However, I quickly realised that getting in front of the customer and talking about how technology can help was, and still is, what I enjoy most. After the Olympics in 2012, I had the opportunity to relocate to London and continue to evolve and grow my responsibilities to start leading teams and achieve senior positions across great organisations. I have led revenue operations teams in mature organisations and startups, allowing me to understand different go-to-markets and how best to provide IT solutions and services working with top IT vendors like Cisco, IBM, Microsoft and others.

Responsibilities

As the Director of Commercial Services and Managed Services at Forfusion, I play a crucial role in shaping the company's revenue operations. Leading the Commercial Services department, I focus on developing and executing strategies that drive revenue growth, maximise market opportunities, and strengthen client relationships. In parallel, I oversee the Managed Services department, ensuring that our IT solutions are tailored to our clients' evolving needs, fostering reliability, and securing long-term partnerships. By aligning these two critical areas, I aim to create a cohesive approach that optimises revenue generation across marketing, sales and customer success and supports Forfusion's commitment to delivering exceptional value to our clients.

Experience

With a career that spans 20+ years in IT across Spain and the UK, I have spent most of my time working with IT Value Added Resellers, providing solutions across multiple industries. I have experience in leading roles across various organisations, all contributing to developing my teams and achieving results.

Interests

I love enjoying my life in London with my partner and our cats. I play tennis whenever possible and follow FC Barcelona as my favourite football team. I also define myself as a decent photographer.
